missing_authorization

The request carried no bearer credential.

Status

HTTP 401, title Missing authorization. One of the credentials errors. Branch on code, never on the status or the prose.

Common causes

  • No Authorization header was sent.
  • The header is not of the form Bearer <key>.
  • A redirect dropped the header (call the www host directly).

What to do

No bearer credential reached us. Send the Authorization header.

Example

The body arrives as application/problem+json. Most responses add detail about the occurrence, and some add fields of their own.
